2013 Workshop and Demonstration 

This year NWS will be hosting a watercolor demo and workshop in May 2013  Don Andrews, our member show juror will be conducting this workshop.  The Demo is Sunday, May 19, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The workshop is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday May 20-22 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Both the demo and the workshop will be held at the Gallery, 915 So Pacific Ave, San Pedro, CA 90731.

Don Andrews is a nationally known watercolor artist and workshop instructor. He is a graduate of the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida, and a resident of Fairhope, Alabama.

Don is an active member and past board director of the American Watercolor Society. His paintings have received numerous awards in national watercolor competitions, including three awards from the American Watercolor Society, and two Best of Show awards from the New England Watercolor Society. Don has conducted painting workshops throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Africa for over 25 years.

Don is the author of the book, "Interpreting the Figure in Watercolor" and "Rough Sketches: Short Stories of a Traveling Artist" as well as the video "Making Watercolor Glow." His new book, "Interpreting the Landscape in Watercolor" has just come out, as well as his 5 new DVD's available individually or as a Watercolor Workshop Set. He is also featured in the Watson Guptill publication "Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Watercolor" and North Light's new book, "Confident Color" and has had numerous feature articles published in American Artist magazine, and the Watercolor issue of American Artist.

Cost for Demo is $20 for Members and $30 for Non-Members

Cost for 3 Day Workshop is $300 for Members and $350 for Non-Members

CANCELLATION POLICY

Workshop:  Cancellations 30 days or more prior to the first day of the workshop are 100% refundable for deposits.  Once workshops begin there will be no refund for no-shows or withdrawals. NWS reserves the right to cancel workshops due to insufficient enrollment; if cancelled registrants will receive a full refund. If you need to cancel and there is a waiting list or a replacement is found you will receive a complete refund. We will consider each case on an individual basis, we know life happens.
